It has two chapters on the Cadborough
and Bellevue Potteries of the
last century where tin glaze ware decorated with applied sprigs
of hops and other rustic adornments was made.
It has three chapters on Wally
and Jack Cole and the Rye Pottery
they founded in 1947, which made majolica ware. Their pottery and
models are now extremely collectable.
It has one chapter each on the Potteries
Wally and Jack's apprentices formed in Rye in the 1960s: Cinque
Ports Pottery, Iden Pottery, David Sharp Pottery and Ray Everett
Pottery.
